New Riverside Rovers Charity Campaign
As a football club we would like to try a new initiative, and ask you to consider donating any old football boots you may have to a worthy cause. Not only will the boots be given a new lease of life with their new owners but it may also free up some space at the back of the cupboards and freshen the air around your home!
The aim of the charity Boots for Africa is to recycle your old boots and to distribute them to children of all ages across Africa who have never owned a pair of boots before. All of these youngsters being very similar to ours in one very important way - they share with us the same passion for football. Should you decide to support us in our aim could I please ask that you clean your old boots, lace them together in a matched pair and give to your team manager to forward to me. You might even want to consider asking around your sons friends and school mates to see if they have any old boots of their own that they may also wish to donate.
Should we be successful in gathering a sizeable number of boots we might even be able to arrange a photo with the local press to advertise our efforts and to further promote the charity across Peterborough.
